Preparing your school for the New Normal

You hear it everywhere lately, the “New Normal.” Coronavirus has forced us to live in a new way to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are all quickly adapting to new protocols and adopting new technologies. Distance learning and remote working are now both widespread and common, collectively testing the bounds of technology so we can safely remain apart.  

Though post-coronavirus life will force us to incorporate several adaptations moving forward, various aspects of life will return. Students will eventually return to the classroom, and it is our collective responsibility to make them safecomfortable, and ready to learn after having their lives upended

Your PA system is the heart of your school communications. Whether it’s used for morning announcements, acting as an intercom between teacher in class and the front office, or providing much needed communication during an emergency; you PA system is vital to the smooth daily operation of your school. For the most part, administrators don’t have to give too much though to their PA system, but when things go wrong, the sudden expense of fixing them can eat away at funds, and cause interruptions in education.

Basics of Distributed Audio

What is distributed audio?

A distributed audio system simply delivers audio to many speakers rather than to just a few. Examples would be hallways in a school, supermarket paging, health club background music, etc. These systems are commonly referred to as “constant power systems” or “70 volt systems” — even though 100V and 25V systems are distributed audio systems too.
