As a teacher, you have to raise and project your voice on a daily basis, putting you at greater risk than individuals in different professions of having vocal problems. Having a frog in your throat while you are trying to teach is no fun, not to mention painful and even unproductive.

One of the most rewarding things about working in ed tech is seeing first-hand the impact the technology has on the learning and teaching outcomes of schools. One such example is the amazing transformation that San Francisco Bay Area's Piedmont Unified School District has undergone since adopting FrontRow classroom audio and campus communication technology.

As with many things in life, our personal habits can have a positive or negative impact on ourselves, and, surprisingly, they can also create a ripple effect that impacts those around us. In the case of educators, they can be so busy going beyond the call of duty that they might unknowingly have developed habits that are zapping their energy, lowering--instead of maximizing--their productivity, and putting them at risk for negative long-term consequences.
