Though today we build technology to serve the broad communication needs of all students and school staff, FrontRow began life in 1963 as Phonic Ear, a company focused on the needs of students with hearing impairment and their parents, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and teachers of the deaf and hard-of-hearing. It was through our dedicated work within those communities that we pioneered the use of wireless audio technology in the classroom. It was also through the encouragement of dedicated hearing health professionals that we developed listening solutions for the student body at large. We wouldn’t be where we are today without all of you.

We're very happy to announce that the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) has awarded the Certified Autism Resource label to FrontRow classroom sound systems. This means our technology meets IBCCES' criteria for helping improve communication and the classroom environment for students with autism.

At FrontRow, we put a LOT of classroom sound system in schools. This technology is designed to create a more effective learning experience. It simply helps students hear more clearly, in turn helping them learn better.

As part of the education industry, we are fortunate to attend a variety of industry-leading conferences each year. And this year’s ASET (Association for Special Education Technology) 2015 Spring Conference in Niagara Falls was no exception.

This is a guest post courtesy of a second grade Teacher Mary Jo Barbeau in Boulder, Colorado. Mary was using the FrontRow ToGo system for a while before she traded with another teacher for the FrontRow Juno system.
I've been working with FrontRow for a long time, and before that I taught in the classroom. So I've spent nearly a decade working in and around education. And over the last so many years, I have noticed that there is always a lot of excitement around the Next Big Thing. From interactive whiteboards, to 1:1 initiatives, to tablets, to flipped classrooms, there is always some Thing that is revolutionizing classrooms.
