media-control-frontrow-ezroom-c402-open-angle-500x495We're happy to announce that we've got a slick new 2x2 ceiling enclosure for the ezRoom classroom media control system. Called PlenumCoreit makes installation even easier, gives integrators more room and more options, and makes for an even cleaner look.

We'll be shipping it for the summer installation season with factory-installed components such as a network amplifier, wireless microphone receiver, HDMI extender over HDBaseT, and HDMI audio de-embedder. The 2x2 format sits in a standard ceiling grid and eliminates the need to cut tile during installation. Plus — and this is very cool — it has a unique removable tray that lets an installer assemble any additional components on the floor rather than at the top of a ladder. The design also leaves extra room in the enclosure — perfect for adding custom equipment such as an HDMI switch, POE extractor, or AppleTV.

PlenumCore also features an optional power strip, lockable lid, and support for direct mounting of a duplex junction box. It also carries the Intertek ETL Listed Mark for compliance with UL 2043 for Fire Safety and Visible Smoke Release.

PlenumCore will give designers and integrators a lot more options for customizing an installation, and school technology directors will appreciate that their equipment is secure, out of view, and yet directly accessible over the network.

Along with the new 2x2 enclosure, ezRoom systems are also now available with 2x2 lay-in speakers for fast installation and great sound coverage in the classroom.
